We Produce for a Sustainable Future with Our I-REC Certificates
As İş Enerji, we have integrated into the I-REC (International Renewable Energy Certificate) system in order to certify our production from renewable energy sources according to international standards.
Through the certification process, we make the environmental benefits of the electricity we generate from renewable sources transparent and trackable; we support corporate customers who want to reduce their carbon footprint in this direction.
A Real Difference Maker for Corporate Consumers
Today, many organizations aim not only to use green energy to reduce their carbon footprint and achieve sustainability goals, but also to document and prove this. I-REC certificates offer a robust and reliable solution to this need.
With the I-REC certificates we offer as İş Enerji:
- Organizations can transparently document their use of renewable energy.
- Achieve a strong foundation in sustainability reporting,
- It becomes part of the green transition.
How Does the I-REC System Work?
The energy certification process consists of three main stages:
1. Registration: Renewable energy plants that meet specific technical and operational requirements register with the I-REC system. An I-REC certificate is created for the energy they feed into the grid.
2. Certificate Creation and Sale: Producer companies can offer these certificates for sale independently of electricity. Certificates are securely tracked in a digital environment.
3. Consumer Contribution: Organizations and individuals can obtain these certificates to match their energy consumption with green sources and contribute to sustainability goals.
Why I-REC?
The I-REC system contains numerous technical data points, such as the energy production source, the power plant’s location, installed capacity, the operating entity, and the year of production. This enables reliable monitoring of both the energy source and its environmental impacts.
I-REC certificates stand out as a powerful and transparent tool in corporate reporting, environmental responsibility statements, and sustainability communication.
